Fundraising events are fantastic because, as well as raising money, events are a great way to raise awareness about brain injury in your local community. An event doesn’t have to be expensive and extravagant to make money, often the simple ideas are the most effective. If you are in need of inspiration take a look at our Fundraising Hints and Tips, we also have lots of helpful downloadable resources.

Here are a few things to think about when planning your event:

  • Get in touch and tell us what you are planning. We can support your fundraising with materials and guidance.

  • If you are making publicity material, such as posters. Please make sure your event is described as ‘in aid of’ Headway Cardiff & South East Wales.

  • If you want to collect money online, we recommend you use BT MyDonate. It is easy to use and BT MyDonate takes no commission, meaning all of your hard earned donations come to us!

  • Shout about it! Social Media is a brilliant way to spread the word about your event. Make sure you mention us on Facebook, Twitter (@HeadwayCardiff ) and Instagram (@headway_cardiff ). We will try our best to share your event with our followers.

  • Download our Event Checklist and Fundraising Guide to help your planning.
